What is BarnBridge?

BarnBridge is a risk protocol to mitigate the risks of price volatility in other cryptocurrencies transactions and exchanges. The idea was created in 2019 when the decentralized finance (DeFi) concept started to gain popularity.

DeFi is the blockchain network that is used to process transactions without utilizing any intermediaries like banks or so. The Ethereum blockchain is the most common DeFi network.

Bond is the cryptocurrency that is used by this risk protocol. It accesses other pools on the blockchain network and creates various assets on each debt pool. Each asset has different risk/return features.

BOND is the main crypto token of the BarnBridge network. It acts as a governance medium and security enhancement to the network. Also, users can trade this token on other crypto exchanges and store it in wallets similar to other cryptocurrencies.

The platform itself allows investors to invest in tranches. These tranches offer either fixed or unfixed interest payments according to the investing trenches.

BOND holders using their stake of BOND coins can vote on system updates. Further, they are incentivized on validating other transactions. With both the governance features and incentivizing the users, BOND can serve as a way to get all the stakeholders in the network aligned.
